This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Provides administrative assistance to the Corporate Counsel.
• Drafts letters, legal documents, spreadsheets, graphs, presentations, reports, and various departmental materials with a high level of precision.
• Safeguards highly confidential files and communications.
• Conducts general administrative tasks such as answering and redirecting phone calls, typing, copying, scanning, filing, faxing, and distributing mail.
• Edits prepared documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax, and content accuracy.
• Creates, updates, and organizes both electronic and paper departmental files, including saving documents and logging events in the department's database.
• Prepares legal documents and files to assist in-house legal counsel.
• Manages departmental workflow for multiple projects and documents.
• Offers backup support to colleagues within the department.
• Assists with various projects and performs additional duties as assigned.
• An associate degree in paralegal studies or legal administrative assistance, or a high school diploma/equivalent with at least three years of legal assisting and/or administrative experience.
• Highly detail-oriented to ensure the production of exceptionally accurate work.
• Knowledge and comprehension of legal terminology.
• Proficient in using Windows personal computers, particularly Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Excel.
• Skilled in utilizing the Internet for information gathering and research.
• Ability to uphold a high degree of confidentiality.
• Competent in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates courteous and professional oral and written communication skills, with a focus on proper English and correct grammar usage.
• Capable of independently identifying, researching, and resolving issues.
• Comfortable performing routine tasks in a quiet, structured environment.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Willingness to work overtime as required by departmental needs.
• Notary Certification is an advantage.
