Legal Policy Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist the Independent Women’s Law Center and the wider IW policy team by monitoring, assessing, and interpreting legal and regulatory changes.

• Contribute to the creation of legal and policy materials that further IW’s mission and support its policy goals.

• Act as a vital support resource for both the Law Center and policy teams.

• Facilitate the integration of legal analysis and policy initiatives across various issue areas.

• Work towards promoting IW’s mission and embodying its core values.

• Oversee multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong analytical and research capabilities.

• A proven interest in law, public policy, or regulatory matters (J.D. candidate, recent graduate, or equivalent experience preferred but not mandatory).

• Capability to simplify complex legal ideas into clear, understandable language.

• A proactive attitude and a strong self-motivated work ethic.

• 0–2 years of relevant experience.

• Ability to work remotely with minimal daily supervision.

• Openness to occasional travel throughout the year as required.
