This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Conducting research and drafting content on various aspects of domestic and international law, encompassing environmental and human rights legislation, international investment law, and international trade law and policy.
β’ Providing support in policy analysis and advocacy efforts.
β’ Participating in meetings and conferences.
β’ Assisting in the creation of CIEL publications, legal opinions, and legal briefs.
β’ Offering help in the preparation of amicus curiae submissions for international tribunals.
β’ Collaborating closely with CIEL staff on diverse projects.
β’ Candidates should be currently enrolled in a postgraduate law degree program (JD, LLM) or an equivalent professional qualification for the entire duration of the internship.
β’ Recent graduates are not eligible for this position.
β’ Candidates must have some background in international environmental or human rights law, acquired either through graduate-level coursework or relevant work experience.
β’ Applicants should be prepared to commit to a ten-week internship at a rate of 15 hours per week.
β’ A monthly stipend is offered to any intern who qualifies under the guidelines established by their jurisdiction and educational institution.
