Legal Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, encompassing SaaS, software licensing, professional services, and maintenance agreements.

• Collaborate with Sales and Services teams to facilitate deal closures while ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

• Offer legal advice regarding RFPs, government procurement procedures, and contract frameworks.

• Create and implement scalable legal processes and templates that support revenue expansion.

• Assist in cross-functional projects related to compliance, sales operations, and risk management.

• Keep abreast of laws, regulations, and industry developments impacting SaaS and public sector contracting.

• Cultivate a secondary area of legal expertise, such as privacy, compliance, or employment law.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from a U.S. law school accredited by the ABA.

• Active membership in a state bar, with the ability to qualify for California Registered In-House Counsel if not California-barred.

• Over 6 years of legal experience, including a minimum of 3 years in-house at a technology or SaaS organization.

• Extensive experience in negotiating commercial agreements, particularly with government entities.

• Strong comprehension of SaaS business models and software licensing practices.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities and work autonomously in a dynamic environment.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, combined with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
