This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Delivers expert legal counsel on a wide array of issues impacting the HVDC & GPQSS sector.
• Recognizes areas of concern and potential contractual risks.
• Proactively formulates effective legal strategies and practical solutions to enhance business operations.
• Participates in the review of RFQs and contributes to PQQs, tender preparation, risk identification, and contract negotiations.
• Oversees and presents the legal assessment during risk evaluations.
• Assists contract managers and project teams throughout project implementation.
• Encourages dispute prevention and manages disputes and litigation processes.
• Ensures strong corporate governance and aids in the enforcement of the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
• Coordinates with external service providers, including outside legal counsel.
• Degree in Law.
• Established history as a fully qualified lawyer in England & Wales.
• Over 5 years of PQE experience related to grid system or significant utilities construction/engineering projects in the U.K. and Europe.
• Familiarity with contract law, contract drafting, administration, and negotiation of agreements.
• Solid experience within the engineering/construction sector.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC, NEC3, NEC4, and MF/1.
• Proven negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in drafting various contractual and settlement agreements.
• Capable of working independently.
