This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• You will assist the legal department with a wide array of commercial, operational, regulatory, and data protection issues, such as: Managing data protection activities alongside the DPO, which includes privacy engineering and privacy-by-design projects.
• Evaluating and providing counsel on NDAs, service agreements, vendor documentation, marketing materials, and other commercial or operational legal documents.
• Aiding in the collection, analysis, and organization of legal information for internal decision-making processes.
• Supporting the payment scheme, compliance, risk, product, and operations teams with on-demand legal advice.
• Offering practical legal insights in a rapidly evolving fintech landscape.
• You will also contribute significantly to the establishment of a scalable and well-structured legal function, which includes: Maintaining the Legal Single Source of Truth for multi-jurisdictional licenses, registrations, legal obligations, and related documentation.
• Assisting finance, risk, compliance, and operational teams with the gathering and preparation of legal data.
• Supervising the Contract Lifecycle Management system, including the vendors and outsourcing register.
• Enhancing and automating the legal function in collaboration with the IT team.
• Facilitating interdepartmental communication to ensure legal data is gathered, updated, and readily accessible.
• Aiding in the enhancement of legal workflows, templates, registers, and internal processes.
• A legal education and pertinent experience in fintech, payments, data protection, or regulatory legal affairs.
• Significant experience in payment acquiring, fintech, and other regulated financial sectors, including collaboration with banks, payment institutions, payment service providers, and SaaS companies.
• Deep understanding of GDPR, privacy-by-design principles, outsourcing requirements, and payment scheme regulations (e.g., Visa and Mastercard).
• Experience with multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements, licensing frameworks, and regulatory data management across diverse markets.
• Solid grasp of contracts, data protection, and legal operations.
• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating NDAs, service agreements, vendor contracts, outsourcing arrangements, and maintaining internal legal registers.
• Interest in legal technology, automation, structured legal data, and scalable legal processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and translate legal requirements into clear, actionable guidance.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over the quality of documentation.
• Structured thinking and the capability to maintain precise and dependable legal data across jurisdictions.
