This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take responsibility for our legal documents.
• Draft, revise, and consistently update terms of use, terms of service, acceptable use policies, and other user-facing legal documents for all group products.
• Develop the compliance framework.
• Design, execute, and oversee internal policies, controls, and procedures across business units — establishing real structure where it is most needed.
• Take charge of data protection and privacy compliance, including GDPR (and other relevant regulations): privacy notices, data processing agreements, records of processing, data subject requests, and support for DPIAs.
• Collaborate with product & engineering teams.
• Provide guidance to teams on regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle, converting legal complexities into clear, actionable advice.
• Review content for compliance. Assess marketing, product, and platform content for legal and regulatory risks prior to publication.
• Stay informed about legal changes. Keep up with legislative and regulatory developments in technology, e-commerce, and data protection, ensuring our documents are up to date.
• Support commercial legal tasks. Assist the broader Legal team with NDAs, vendor agreements, and customer contracts as required.
• Promote a culture of compliance. Deliver internal training and foster genuine compliance awareness throughout the organization.
• A law degree and qualification to practice (or an equivalent professional qualification).
• Over 2 years of legal experience, preferably in technology, e-commerce, compliance, or product-centric businesses.
• Experience in drafting and maintaining user-facing legal documents like Terms of Use, Terms of Service, privacy policies, and related agreements in English.
• Strong understanding of GDPR and data protection principles; familiarity with additional privacy frameworks (CCPA, LGPD, etc.) is beneficial.
• Exceptional written and spoken English skills, with the ability to clarify legal matters simply and clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
• Outstanding drafting, analytical, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities independently, take ownership of your responsibilities, and adapt swiftly as business needs change.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills - you easily build trust and work effectively across product, engineering, commercial, and leadership teams.
• Experience with commercial contracts, vendor agreements, or negotiations is an advantage.
• Previous experience working with or advising technology product companies is highly regarded.
