Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Offer legal advice and assistance regarding corporate structuring within EU and iGaming regulations.

• Collaborate with regulatory authorities, licensing agencies, and internal teams to ensure adherence to iGaming laws and regulations.

• Provide guidance on financial, tax, and accounting issues pertaining to corporate operations and gaming licenses.

• Support corporate governance, contracts, agreements, and licensing documentation processes.

• Keep track of developments in iGaming regulations, corporate law, and taxation, offering timely advice to the business.

• Serve as the main point of contact for jurisdictional issues, fostering effective relationships with regulators, advisors, and local authorities.

• Be available during working hours to address legal inquiries or urgent issues.

• Assist with cross-border legal initiatives, including corporate restructurings, mergers, or other financial transactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A law degree with relevant professional credentials; licensed to practice law in one EU country, with the ability or eligibility to practice in other EU countries.

• Demonstrated experience in corporate law and iGaming regulations.

• Strong understanding of corporate structures, taxation, accounting, and financial compliance across various EU jurisdictions.

• Experience in advising on gaming licenses, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance in tier-1 markets.

• Litigation experience: capability to represent and defend the company in courts or arbitration proceedings within the EU.

• Capacity to provide full-time dedicated legal support during standard business hours, coordinating across multiple jurisdictions and internal stakeholders.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; proficiency in Latvian is preferred.

• Highly organized, proactive, and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Knowledge of cross-border corporate operations and international legal frameworks.
