Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver clear and practical guidance to internal stakeholders.

• Provide advice on contract risks, legal compliance obligations, and various other inquiries.

• Assist in the design and implementation of new legal processes and workflows to enhance efficiency.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, heads of terms, MSAs, framework agreements, customer contracts, supplier contracts, DPAs, partnering arrangements, and reseller agreements.

• Utilize ENSEK’s contract playbook(s) during the drafting and negotiation of legal contracts.

• Support ENSEK’s contract management processes and oversee the legal team’s central documentation repository.

• Assist in documenting specifications and requirements suitable for inclusion in contracts.

• Provide advice on new supplier contracts and aid ENSEK’s supplier due diligence and onboarding processes.

• Manage ENSEK's pre-litigation handling of disputes.

• Instruct and oversee external legal advisors (as necessary), including managing deadlines and budgets.

• Offer guidance on data protection and support ENSEK’s Data Protection Officer (DPO).

⛳️ Requirements

• UK qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in commercial law.

• Proven experience in negotiating complex contracts, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment.

• Strong working knowledge of data protection laws and UK GDPR is preferred.

• Capability to balance risk management with commercial practicality.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic technology business.
