Legal Contracts, Billing Associate

📋 Description

• Draft, review, and organize contracts, ensuring they are precise, complete, and compliant with company standards.

• Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding current and outstanding payments; this includes the collection of initial payments, as well as managing upcoming and overdue payments promptly.

• Conduct professional and courteous phone calls and send emails to address payment inquiries and negotiate payment arrangements.

• Create and issue invoices within the financial system, accurately representing retained services.

• Verify invoice details, including pricing, terms, and payment deadlines, to resolve discrepancies with attorneys and operational staff.

• Monitor contract status and follow up with relevant parties to ensure timely signatures and compliance with agreed terms.

• Track and manage payment schedules to reduce overdue accounts.

• Organize, secure, enter, and maintain records of contracts, invoices, and related financial documents for auditing and reference.


⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree in finance, business, or a related field is advantageous.

• Previous experience in contract management, accounts receivable, or customer service is preferred.

• Demonstrated trustworthiness in handling financial transactions and sensitive client information.

• Experience in a legal environment is preferable.

• Bilingual proficiency in both Spanish and English.

• Proven experience in a finance-related role or administrative position is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar applications).

• Strong customer service capabilities.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

• Basic understanding of financial principles and practices.

Non-negotiable:

• Experience in collections.

• Experience in drafting contracts.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
