Legal & Compliance Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and oversee the Compliance Program.

• Develop a Jira space that functions as the central hub for project management and coordination of compliance and legal initiatives, ensuring that tasks are directed to the appropriate Jira space and monitored effectively.

• Gather and prioritize initiatives stemming from Compliance and Legal, manage cross-functional Epics, and guide them from inception to completion.

• Convert compliance and legal requirements into actionable execution plans.

• Facilitate collaboration across Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, Operations, and external partners.

• Ensure that necessary legal and bank reviews and approvals are secured, documented, and tracked.

• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and obstacles, escalating issues as necessary.

• Deliver clear status updates and visibility on progress to Compliance and Legal leadership, ensuring that initiatives are concluded with appropriate validation, approvals, and documentation retained.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Program Manager, Product Manager, Project Manager, or a similar capacity.

• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-team initiatives.

• Experience in regulated industries is highly preferred.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Legal teams.

• Strong proficiency in using Jira for managing cross-functional tasks, including Epics, stories, and interconnected workflows across various projects.

• Demonstrated capability to oversee a program board or initiative that coordinates work executed by other teams.

• Understanding of software development lifecycles, release processes, and change management protocols.

• Experience in regulated or controlled change environments.
