Lecturer in Hospitality and Tourism Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct captivating and interactive online lectures for our distance learning students.

• Assume module leadership, guaranteeing the consistent quality and advancement of learning materials and work schemes.

• Manage assessment grading, develop authentic assessments, and deliver high-quality feedback.

• Assist in the creation of new programs and the update of existing ones to keep pace with industry trends and employer needs.

• Collaborate with colleagues to offer academic guidance and support to students.

• Promote innovation in teaching techniques, student support, and assessment methods.

• Aid the Department Link Coordinator in fostering effective working relationships with transnational education (TNE) partners.

• Work in partnership with the Department Link Coordinator and colleagues to enhance program delivery, uphold academic standards, and engage in curriculum development and quality assurance activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• MSc or equivalent qualification in Hospitality and Tourism or a Business Management-related field, and/or considerable industry experience.

• AdvanceHE Recognition - FHEA or a commitment to obtain within 12-18 months.

• Proven experience in effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices within Higher Education.

• Demonstrated successful experience working within program teams and being a creative and inspiring lecturer.

• Experience leading a project, intervention, or module in teaching and learning.

• Planning, leadership, and delivery of modules in Hospitality and Tourism management.

• Ensure all modules comply with academic standards and regulatory requirements.

• Support the development of new modules from initial concept to final implementation.

• Prepare and curate teaching materials to ensure they align with academic expectations and student needs.

• Experience working in a Transnational Education (TNE) partnership or international higher education environment.
