This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as the main operational contact for HR partners regarding leave and accommodation issues within a designated portfolio.
• Facilitate operational meetings with HR partners, which includes setting agendas, leading discussions, documenting action items, and ensuring follow-up.
• Collaborate with account management on strategic account initiatives and participate in client-facing activities.
• Serve as the initial escalation point for issues related to operations, claims, and accommodations.
• Oversee service quality, productivity, compliance goals, KPIs, reporting, and overall operational performance.
• Address HR partner inquiries regarding claims and accommodation statuses within service level agreements (SLAs).
• Offer expertise on FMLA, state leave legislation, ADA interactive processes, accommodation methods, and specific client plans, policies, and eligibility criteria.
• Convert leave and accommodation actions into data feeds and reports for partners, guiding them in their interpretation.
• Provide mentorship to specialists and members of the operational team.
• Identify trends, anomalies, risks, and insights within leave and accommodation data.
• Suggest training and process improvements and aid in simplifying workflows and redesigning operations.
• Utilize data, predictive insights, AI, and automation to enhance workflows, foresee needs, and minimize escalations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and organizational standards while supporting audit preparedness.
• Maintain precise documentation and adhere to established controls, policies, and procedures.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in absence management, leave administration, claims processing, disability management, accommodation, or a similar operational area.
• Proficient in leading meetings with clients or partners, setting agendas, and engaging with HR-level stakeholders on operational and claims issues.
• Comprehensive understanding of FMLA, ADA, state leave regulations, and the influence of claims and accommodation actions on partner data, reporting, and outcomes.
• Preferred post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Health Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Familiarity with absence, disability, or claims administration platforms.
• Preferred knowledge of reporting tools.
• An inquisitive mindset and comfort with AI and emerging technologies.
• Experience in utilizing AI to enhance workflows, decision-making, or productivity is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking capabilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection.
