Learning Systems Technologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• You will be the key individual responsible for ensuring our learning platforms function effectively.

• This involves configuring and administering Canvas and Bud, as well as building and maintaining digital learning programs, while serving as the primary contact when issues arise.

• A significant part of your role will focus on quality.

• You will conduct structured QA checks on courses, assessing formatting, accessibility, usability, and verifying that everything operates as intended.

• Collaboration with curriculum, product, delivery, and quality teams will be essential to transform program requirements into practical learner journeys.

• You will also have ample opportunity to explore new avenues.

• We seek someone who has a genuine curiosity for AI-enabled learning tools and emerging platforms, who can research, pilot, and help us determine what is worth incorporating.

• Over time, you will also delve into related technical areas such as Microsoft 365, Azure, APIs, and automation workflows, providing ample opportunity for career growth beyond mere maintenance of the role.

• You will act as a bridge between technical systems and non-technical colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with at least one learning management system, apprenticeship management system, or a similar enterprise platform.

• A history of rapidly acquiring new technologies and applying them effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills, coupled with the patience to thoroughly investigate issues rather than making assumptions.

• Proficient communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical challenges clearly to non-technical colleagues.

• Comfort in working independently in a remote environment while ensuring appropriate communication with relevant stakeholders.

• Desirable, but not mandatory: Direct experience with Canvas LMS, Bud, or equivalent apprenticeship platforms.

• Exposure to AI-enabled learning tools, content generation workflows, or technology pilots.

• Familiarity with data imports, reporting, APIs, or system integrations.

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.

• Awareness of Microsoft 365, Azure, or Entra ID.

• Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or Adobe Captivate.
