Learning Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assists in the design, development, and execution of training and learning initiatives aimed at transforming rural health systems.

• Participates in the creation of learning resources, training programs, and facilitation methods.

• Crafts and develops training materials in various formats, such as webinars, toolkits, job aids, and self-directed learning resources.

• Utilizes adult learning theories and human-centered design approaches to guarantee that content is accessible, pertinent, and actionable for healthcare providers.

• Aids in the execution of learning collaboratives and training events by organizing materials, leading sessions, and managing participant interactions.

• Assists in monitoring attendance, feedback, and educational outcomes.

• Collaborates with technical assistance teams, subject matter experts, and program leadership to ensure content aligns with provider needs and program objectives.

• Promotes the ongoing enhancement of training materials through feedback and performance data analysis.

• Helps maintain training platforms, resource libraries, and learning management systems that support provider engagement statewide.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in public health, education, instructional design, communications, or a related discipline is mandatory.

• At least 3 years of experience in training, instructional design, technical assistance, or capacity-building efforts.

• Proven experience in crafting training materials using adult learning principles and instructional design techniques.

• Familiarity with supporting webinars, virtual learning environments, and facilitating group training sessions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the capability to simplify complex ideas into clear, user-friendly documentation.

• Experience with healthcare providers or public health initiatives is preferred.

• Knowledge of learning management systems, webinar platforms, or training technologies is advantageous.

• Capacity to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic, implementation-driven setting.
