Learning & Development Leader – Head of Service Academy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Convert training and capability strategies into regional programs that align with service operations and workforce requirements.

• Create and oversee a training roadmap that supports service delivery, technical skills, and operational preparedness.

• Supervise the creation and execution of training programs focused on technical, digital, and safety topics.

• Collaborate with service, engineering, and commercial teams to identify skill gaps and prioritize training initiatives.

• Establish and uphold uniform training standards, certification methods, and delivery techniques.

• Assess program effectiveness through performance metrics and strive for continuous improvement in learning outcomes.

• Facilitate the deployment of digital and blended learning solutions, incorporating both remote and hands-on training formats.

• Develop and maintain a network of trainers, instructors, and subject matter experts.

• Ensure adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess valid work authorization for employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as engineering, business, or learning and development.

• Experience in technical training, service operations, or workforce capability development within industrial or energy sectors.

• Proven experience in designing and delivering structured training programs in in-person, virtual, or blended formats.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in service, engineering, or project-based settings.

• Background in supporting organizational change, capability development, or continuous improvement efforts.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage stakeholders across technical and operational teams.
