This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more countries.
• Evaluate partner capabilities, identify shortcomings, and offer coaching along with follow-up support.
• Organize learning and capacity-building initiatives that align with grant objectives and program results.
• Provide coaching in the humanitarian sector for New and Underutilized Partners (NUPs) and suggest appropriate operational engagements.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to determine learning needs.
• Design, develop, implement, and assess learning and capacity-strengthening programs.
• Create curricula, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and digital learning resources.
• Oversee instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-directed learning programs.
• Assist with training logistics, scheduling, communications, participant engagement, and documentation of learning.
• Apply principles of adult learning and best practices in instructional design.
• Monitor and assess learning activities, identify areas for improvement, and evaluate outcomes.
• Maintain learning resources and knowledge management systems.
• Support the development of partner and staff capacity through coaching, resource creation, and technical assistance.
• Contribute to grant reporting, work planning, and documentation efforts.
• Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing among teams, partners, and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on trends, tools, and best practices in learning, capacity development, emergency preparedness, and humanitarian programs.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of pertinent work experience.
• Experience in designing, managing, and ensuring accountability for humanitarian and disaster relief programs.
• Preferred experience in supporting donor-funded humanitarian initiatives, emergency preparedness, international development, or similar programs.
• Proven track record in designing and delivering practical, field-based learning, training, and capacity-building initiatives.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders while handling competing priorities.
• Strong skills in communication, facilitation, and relationship-building.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory.
• Proficiency in French and/or Spanish is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Consistently witness for Jesus Christ and uphold a courteous, Christ-like demeanor.
• Advocate for children and understand Christ’s mandate to protect them.
• Commit to considerations of child protection and adhere to Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct.
• Report any concerns regarding child abuse, neglect, or exploitation through Compassion’s internal reporting system.
• Uphold and actively engage with Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
• Regular chapel services, prayer groups, and departmental devotionals.
• Mission-driven work aimed at releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
