
Leader, Executive Counsel – Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead and oversee substantial and intricate litigation, arbitration, and disputes for the Wind Segment both in the U.S. and internationally.
• Concentrate on significant contract, warranty, product liability, and project construction claims.
• Formulate and execute litigation and claim resolution strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel.
• Deliver clear, actionable legal advice to senior management and internal clients.
• Support strategic decision-making and promote effective legal and commercial resolutions.
• Work alongside commercial, compliance, and risk management teams to proactively mitigate litigation risks.
• Recognize and implement lessons learned, establish process enhancements, and spearhead training initiatives.
• Advance litigation policies, simplification projects, and uniform standards for litigation management and reporting.
• Engage and oversee outside counsel to ensure effective and cost-efficient legal representation.
• Identify emerging legal trends that impact legal and reputational risk exposure.
• Coordinate with Government Relations, Communications, Finance, Insurance, Risk, Securities, and Audit teams as necessary.
• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Active member in good standing of one or more U.S. state bars or the D.C. bar.
• If required, in-house counsel registration or admission to the local U.S. state bar.
• At least 10 years of experience in litigation and arbitration.
• Extensive experience in high-stakes U.S. litigation matters.
• Experience in product liability and project disputes litigation.
• Global experience in international arbitration.
• Ideally, experience with both a prestigious law firm and in-house at a large multinational corporation.
• Strong demonstrated skills in legal writing and presentation.
• Proven strategic judgment in addressing complex legal issues and litigation risks aligned with business objectives.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
