Director, Corporate Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate B2B and enterprise contracts, such as Master Services Agreements, Business Associate Agreements, as well as reseller, referral, and vendor contracts.

• Provide advice on EAP, employer, and health plan partnership agreements.

• Collaborate with teams in marketing, partnerships, product, and business development.

• Negotiate marketing, sponsorship, and affiliate agreements involving influencers, content creators, and third-party wellness platforms.

• Ensure adherence to healthcare and advertising regulations.

• Develop and implement partnership frameworks alongside sales and operations.

• Align legal, business, and technical requirements effectively.

• Partner with product, engineering, and compliance teams to uphold contractual commitments through product functionality and service delivery standards.

• Offer legal counsel on data privacy, information security, and healthcare regulatory compliance, including HIPAA, FTC, and state-specific health and marketing laws.

• Track and interpret changing laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting digital health, mental health parity, telehealth, and enterprise wellness.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-10 years of pertinent legal experience.

• At least 3 years of legal experience related to healthcare.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school in the U.S.

• Active member in good standing of a state bar in the U.S.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to provide practical, risk-balanced legal advice in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.

• Collaborative and adaptable attitude focused on facilitating business growth while ensuring compliance.

• Experience in a hybrid organization offering both D2C and B2B services and/or a digital health platform is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Experience in digital and privacy matters is an advantage.
