This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Review legal analyses to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and logical coherence.
• Evaluate the application of laws, precedents, and legal principles to specific factual situations.
• Detect unsupported conclusions, flawed legal reasoning, significant omissions, and shortcomings in issue identification.
• Examine civil and criminal litigation cases, case evaluations, litigation tactics, and procedural suggestions.
• Analyze litigation strengths, weaknesses, risks, alternative strategies, and professional defendability.
• Assess legal memoranda, agreements, pleadings, correspondence, contracts, and other professional documents.
• Evaluate drafting clarity, precision, structure, legal effectiveness, contractual obligations, risks, and suggested modifications.
• Review statutory interpretation, judicial precedents, and relevant legal authorities.
• Evaluate client recommendations for responsiveness, overlooked risks, practical considerations, clarity, utility, and credibility.
• Compare different legal responses and analyses.
• Deliver concise, evidence-based written feedback while consistently applying evaluation standards.
• A minimum of 4 years of pertinent professional legal experience.
• Background as an Attorney, Lawyer, Counsel, General Counsel, Prosecutor, or a closely associated legal practitioner.
• Experience in representing clients in civil and/or criminal matters.
• Significant experience in drafting legal documents or advising on legal transactions.
• Practical knowledge of litigation strategy, statutory interpretation, legal research, and client advisory services.
• Capability to assess legal arguments, application of precedents, and the quality of drafting.
• Strong analytical judgment and meticulous attention to legal details.
• Excellent written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and provide accurate professional feedback.
• Availability of 20+ hours per week.
• Work must be conducted without utilizing any confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, law firm, institution, or third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this position.
• Fully remote working arrangement.
• Part-time independent contractor position.
• Flexible availability of 20+ hours per week.
• Immediate commencement of work.
• Initial project duration of approximately 4–6 weeks.
• Opportunity for hourly work following the successful completion and approval of the initial task.
• Possible project extension based on project requirements and performance.
