Lead WiFi Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and create wireless network architecture, encompassing access points and controllers.

• Perform site surveys to assess wireless coverage requirements and strategize network installations.

• Generate heat maps and WiFi coverage models utilizing design tools such as Ekahau.

• Collaborate with clients to comprehend their wireless connectivity needs and goals.

• Choose and configure suitable hardware and software components for wireless networks.

• Implement and enhance wireless solutions to guarantee optimal performance and coverage.

• Conduct wireless signal testing and performance evaluations to detect and address issues.

• Document network designs, configurations, and modifications in comprehensive reports.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for intricate network challenges.

• Keep abreast of the latest wireless technologies and industry developments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree AND 8+ years of direct experience with Ekahau OR a minimum of 12 years of experience in WiFi design and deployment using Ekahau.

• CWDP (Certified Wireless Design Professional) certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

• Proficient in creating wireless designs using Ekahau design software.

• Strong grasp of RF principles and wireless communication.

• Familiarity with network security practices and wireless security protocols.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
