This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take charge of the technical direction for all our internal and external web initiatives.
• Integrate organically developed elements and establish a solid foundation for future growth.
• Serve as the primary web engineer while developing and expanding a team over time.
• Collaborate intimately with a designer to influence the construction and aesthetics of our projects.
• Create an environment where team members across all departments can independently develop software, ensuring standardized reviews, security measures, and deployment processes.
• You have experience building and deploying production web applications from start to finish, ranging from simple static sites to intricate single-page applications (SPAs), and you understand the underlying challenges in each.
• You have made significant architectural decisions and remained involved long enough to evaluate their effectiveness.
• Demonstrated expertise in cross-project infrastructure, including shared component libraries, CI/CD pipelines, monorepo configurations, and deployment automation.
• Solid knowledge of web security practices, performance enhancement, and browser functionalities.
• You possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring pixel-perfect execution and clean, uniform code.
• You regularly utilize AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar) and know how to guide them effectively, including determining when to trust their outputs.
• You have established and sustained CI/CD processes, testing methodologies, and development tools for teams beyond just your own.
• Up to 10,000 EUR/month (based on experience) with employee equity participation through a vesting program.
• Fully remote work from anywhere in the world, allowing for a digital nomad lifestyle if desired (the countries listed are just examples).
