Lead UX Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee heuristic evaluations of the existing CEM platform, documenting usability, accessibility, workflow, and consistency challenges across key functional areas, and synthesizing insights into actionable design priorities.

• Convert qualitative and quantitative research insights into workflow models, interaction patterns, and validated design directions.

• Assist in establishing, governing, and evolving the CEM design system, including branded component variants and interaction patterns that adhere to accessibility standards consistently across all design outputs.

• Collaborate with the UX Manager and Engineering team to introduce new components, patterns, and documentation into the design system as new workflows reveal design needs not currently addressed by existing standards.

• Ensure design file organization and Figma library alignment, maintaining a structure that facilitates a seamless handoff to Engineering and minimizes implementation ambiguity.

• Own the complete UX design process for high-complexity CEM workflows, from the initial concept to validated prototypes and production-ready specifications.

• Create interaction models, annotated wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and design specifications that are sufficient for engineering implementation without compromising design intent.

• Lead iterative design reviews with Product, Engineering, and senior stakeholders, clearly communicating design rationale and incorporating feedback while maintaining user experience quality.

• Function within a Lean UX framework closely aligned with engineering through dual-track collaboration: conducting design discovery ahead of delivery sprints to provide timely designs that are validated before engineering commitment.

• Define and uphold a clear MVP design scope in collaboration with Product Management, establishing success metrics that enable a ship-and-measure approach for well-defined, lower-risk features.

• Contribute to post-delivery UX assessments using application analytics to evaluate adoption, identify friction points, and guide the next design iteration.

• Utilize AI prototyping tools to expedite design exploration, concept validation, and the creation of design artifacts throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Partner with the UX Manager to establish design delivery processes, file organization standards, handoff conventions, and quality gates that ensure consistent, high-quality output as the team expands.

• Contribute to the CEM design repository by maintaining organized Figma libraries, component documentation, and reusable pattern documentation to minimize redundant design efforts across the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of UX design experience, with increasing responsibility in leading complex workflow design across enterprise SaaS applications.

• Proven experience in owning or significantly contributing to a design system within a production SaaS environment.

• Demonstrated capability to create high-fidelity interaction designs and prototypes for complex, data-rich enterprise applications, with a portfolio showcasing mastery of information hierarchy, workflow efficiency, and accessibility in dense, data-intensive enterprise UI contexts.

• Familiarity with a Lean UX or dual-track agile delivery model, iteratively validating with users and delivering just-in-time specifications.

• Strong cross-functional collaboration abilities with Product Management and Engineering, including participation in discovery, defining requirements, and communicating design rationale to non-design stakeholders.

• A bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Information Science, or a related discipline is required; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
