This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and manage scalable art pipelines across various projects, ensuring technical efficiency, consistency, and creative adaptability.

• Develop and implement innovative tools and processes that enhance workflow efficiency, accelerate iteration, and improve collaboration among art, design, and engineering teams.

• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (such as procedural systems, AI-assisted pipelines, and real-time rendering) to maintain Fortis's leadership in technical innovation.

• Mentor senior individual contributors, translating strategic objectives into actionable tasks while promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

• Facilitate effective communication across functions, aligning art, engineering, and production workflows to ensure clarity and attainability of goals.

• Manage multiple technical workflows concurrently, balancing immediate production requirements with long-term scalability.

• Enhance performance and visual quality through advanced optimization strategies for mobile platforms (including draw calls, shaders, polycounts, and overdraw).

• Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing by exemplifying best practices and influencing cross-functional initiatives at the organizational level.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Technical Artist in the game development sector, with proficiency in Unity and DCC tools (such as Blender, Substance, Maya, and Photoshop).

• Proven history of developing and scaling cross-functional pipelines that support multiple projects.

• Strong programming and scripting abilities in C# and Python, with substantial experience in creating automation and pipeline tools.

• Expertise in mobile performance optimization and rendering pipelines (URP).

• Practical experience with cutting-edge workflows (including procedural generation, AI-assisted art, and real-time rendering).

• Proven success in mentoring and guiding senior individual contributors, aligning their efforts with broader business and creative objectives.

• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, capable of influencing senior leadership and fostering cross-functional alignment.

• Ability to navigate uncertainty and make strategic decisions in the absence of precedents while ensuring project execution remains on track.
