Lead, Technical Accounting and Internal Controls

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical accounting subject matter expert for CSI.

• Manage initiatives related to technical accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.

• Conduct research, interpretation, and implementation of complex accounting guidelines in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

• Lead accounting evaluations related to ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 340, ASC 350, and other relevant technical accounting issues.

• Create technical accounting memoranda that support conclusions for complex transactions.

• Write and review disclosures for financial statements.

• Oversee, improve, and sustain internal control frameworks along with accounting risk controls.

• Collaborate with executive leadership regarding acquisitions, strategic initiatives, and financial analysis.

• Assess the accounting implications of new business ventures, acquisitions, and contract agreements.

• Conduct thorough accounting research and provide recommendations on new accounting standards and regulatory guidance.

• Champion accounting automation, process enhancements, and system upgrade initiatives.

• Act as the main point of contact with internal and external auditors concerning technical accounting subjects and control environments.

• Assist with SEC readiness initiatives and future disclosure obligations.

• Guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• Active CPA license.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Background in a large national or global accounting firm.

• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting principles.

• Significant experience with ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 340, and/or ASC 350.

• Proven track record in drafting technical accounting memoranda and accounting position papers.

• Experience in leading audit and compliance initiatives.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
