This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Deliver technical leadership for the management, upkeep, and continual enhancement of cloud infrastructure (AWS) and associated systems.

• Guide and mentor a small engineering team, providing task coordination, direction, and opportunities for professional growth.

• Establish technical standards and direction for systems engineering as well as operations and maintenance practices.

• Execute and supervise patching, upgrades, configuration management, and the maintenance of standardized baselines.

• Provide support for Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) infrastructure and essential platform services.

• Identify and resolve intricate infrastructure, networking, and performance challenges.

• Automate infrastructure operations and configurations utilizing infrastructure as code (Terraform).

• Ensure platform security and compliance, including ATO sustainment and readiness for audits.

• Assist with hiring, performance evaluations, timecard assessments, PTO, and team development.

• Engage in technical depth interviews with prospective candidates.

• Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of experience; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.

• Proven experience in operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), particularly in a technical leadership role.

• Background in mentoring or leading engineers, with some responsibilities in people management.

• Expert-level proficiency in at least one infrastructure-as-code tool (Terraform preferred).

• Strong knowledge of systems administration, networking, containerization, and fundamental DevOps principles.

• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Public Trust/suitability determination.
