This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design and development of Protective Schemes
• One-Line and Three-Line Diagrams for Substation Relays
• AC/DC Schematics creation
• Layout design for Substation Panels
• Wiring Diagrams and Cable Schedules for substations
• SCADA and Communication Diagram preparation
• Calculations for DC Systems
• Calculations for AC Systems
• Creation of Equipment Specifications and Selection based on Client Requirements
• Generation of Bill of Materials in accordance with Design Criteria
• Collaborate with physical, settings, and drafting teams to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Attend client meetings and conduct site visits for necessary data collection
• Analyze and integrate vendor information into design outputs
• Adhere to client standards relevant to the work
• Offer field support during construction phases
• Ensure the implementation of the company’s Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures on all design packages
• Commit to the continuous enhancement of job-related engineering, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, ideally in electrical or computer engineering
• Over 8 years of experience in protection and controls
• More than 5 years of experience using Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and MicroStation
• Preferred 12+ years of experience in protection and controls
• Engineering in Training (EIT) license is preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Excel and Word, is preferred
• Familiarity with the practical application of industry standards such as NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI is preferred
• Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in creating technical plans, blueprints, and drawings is preferred
