This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for designated DTCB and ITR commodities in accordance with business goals and GE Vernova sourcing methodologies.
• Oversee supplier performance based on critical metrics such as cost efficiency, inflation/deflation, delivery, quality, and risk mitigation.
• Assist in commodity planning efforts, including business case development, dual+ sourcing initiatives, tooling investments, CAPEX requests, and financial impact assessments.
• Collaborate with suppliers to enhance cost, capacity, quality, and sustainability outcomes.
• Lead supplier identification efforts, conduct market analysis, manage RFQ/RFP processes, perform commercial evaluations, and facilitate negotiations.
• Organize supplier qualification processes, which include audits, sample submissions, testing, validation, and homologation, in collaboration with Quality and Engineering teams.
• Direct the implementation of supplier contracts and ensure that sourcing operations adhere to internal policies, approval protocols, and the GE Vernova Code of Conduct.
• Conduct cost analyses encompassing logistics, duties, taxes, make-or-buy decisions, and total cost of ownership evaluations.
• Leverage data and KPIs to detect trends, assist in performance reviews, and promote corrective measures.
• Collaborate across functions to address supplier-related challenges concerning cost, quality, delivery, and supply stability.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and disseminate sourcing best practices throughout various teams.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a comparable field.
• At least 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain management within the energy or power transmission industry.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience sourcing Circuit Breakers and/or Instrument Transformers or similar electrical products and their global supplier markets.
• At least 7 years of experience in supplier management, sourcing, negotiation, and commercial analysis.
• Capability to create business cases, conduct cost analyses, and provide financial justifications.
• Understanding of logistics, customs duties, taxes, make-or-buy evaluations, and total cost of ownership.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities, including KPI tracking and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with SAP MM and SCM modules.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within North America and internationally.
