Lead Solutions Architect – Federal, Zero Trust

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute enterprise-level solutions for challenges presented by clients.

• Evaluate and review existing product ecosystems, providing recommendations for optimization.

• Create architectural designs and documentation that support proposed solutions.

• Formulate both near-term and long-term roadmaps for solution design, deployment, and enhancements.

• Integrate methodologies such as hybrid cloud, automation, Zero Trust, and secure-by-design.

• Establish architecture standards, patterns, and governance frameworks across engineering teams.

• Offer consulting and pre-sales assistance to key prospects and accounts.

• Clearly articulate the Unisys value proposition and design tailored solutions.

• Spearhead RFP/RFI solution development, client workshops, and competitive positioning efforts.

• Assist in project estimation, scope definition, resource distribution, and timelines.

• Support TCO/ROI modeling, cost optimization initiatives, and financial alignment.

• Ensure that solutions are technically viable, financially sound, and fulfill service delivery requirements.

• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure that architectures are executable, operationally stable, and aligned with ITSM.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Capability to design and architect enterprise-level technical solutions.

• Excellent consulting, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

• U.S. Citizenship and residency required.

• Proficient in design patterns, architectural best practices, cost optimization, and purpose-built solutions.

• Extensive knowledge of services, solutions, emerging technologies, roadmaps, and the business applications of technology.

• Recognized expertise and experience within the industry.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Experience with multi-tier enterprise architecture encompassing infrastructure, cloud, security, and application domains.

• Familiarity with Azure/AWS landing zones, governance, modernization, and cloud security baselines.

• Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.

• Knowledge of IAM, PKI, segmentation, encryption, and federal secure-design requirements.

• Understanding of NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, FISMA, CJIS, and DISA STIGs.

• Experience with API design, event-driven architecture, and legacy modernization.

• Familiarity with architecture standards, patterns, guardrails, and review processes.

• Leadership experience in RFP/RFI processes, client workshops, and competitive differentiation.

• Expertise in TCO/ROI analysis and cloud cost governance.

• Knowledge of ITIL practices, service reliability engineering, and operational alignment.

• Ability to simplify complex architectures for senior-level audiences.

• Professional certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CISSP, ITIL, or TOGAF.

• Experience leading teams across Windows, Linux, Cloud, Security, NOC, and application domains.

• Eligibility for necessary U.S. Government authorizations for access to export-controlled technology.
