This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and qualify new leads and opportunities while nurturing relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
• Provide technical consulting to customers, offering expertise and recommendations regarding GridOS DERMS applications.
• Conduct product demonstrations and deliver comprehensive overviews of the GridOS DERMS product line.
• Document customers’ technical challenges, processes, policies, and regulatory hurdles while identifying appropriate use cases and solutions.
• Clearly communicate customer requirements, industry trends, and issues to the Product Management team.
• Define and evaluate value-added technology services that leverage the GridOS DERMS Platform.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to fulfill customer needs and ensure timely delivery of proposals.
• Provide technical insights for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and government initiatives.
• Identify product development opportunities related to proposals that fall outside the current roadmap and highlight them for further analysis.
• Contribute technical content to marketing campaigns directed at customers.
• Monitor competitive products, identify relevant use cases, and channel market responses and feedback.
• Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
• Create and maintain customer-ready presentations at various technical levels.
• Share customer-derived technical insights with internal teams.
• Provide feedback to Account Managers, Product Management, and Research and Development teams regarding customer feedback, product bugs, and quality issues.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field, emphasizing Power Systems.
• At least 5+ years of robust utility industry experience, combined with technical sales and writing expertise in the energy sector.
• This is a remote position based in the US.
• Up to 25% travel may be required based on business needs.
• Knowledge of emerging trends, regulations, and implications in the energy industry, particularly for utility customers in DER management, microgrids, distribution planning, SCADA, and asset management.
• Familiarity with Distributed Energy Resources, IEEE 1547, IEEE 2030.5 (SEP2), OpenADR, and utility-to-DER integration technologies is highly desirable.
• Understanding of DER aggregation, virtual power plants, demand response programs, inverter-based resources, and DER integration use cases is considered a strong asset.
• Proven ability to attract new clients and enhance existing relationships by clearly articulating the strategic and technical advantages of the GridOS DERMS platform.
• Capability to meet project deadlines consistently.
• Ability to work collaboratively both independently and as part of a team.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and summarizing information for C-suite executives.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
