Lead, Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and development of backend solutions utilizing Java and .NET in cloud environments such as Azure.

• Establish scalable architectures that leverage microservices and event-driven patterns.

• Integrate messaging systems like Kafka and Service Bus, along with robust APIs and cloud services.

• Implement engineering best practices including SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), testing, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Maintain application quality and ensure observability.

• Collaborate with teams within an agile framework.

• Provide technical vision, adopt a hands-on approach, and mentor team members to enhance their skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend development and designing complex solutions.

• Demonstrated experience as a Tech Lead, Solution Architect, or a similar role in cloud environments.

• Strong understanding of distributed architectures, including microservices, event-driven systems, and messaging platforms like Kafka and Service Bus.

• Practical experience with Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE).

• Skilled in designing and developing REST APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger and API Management tools.

• Knowledgeable in both relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB.

• Familiar with CI/CD processes (Azure Pipelines), observability tools (ELK), and code quality frameworks (SonarCloud).

• Strong adherence to engineering practices including SOLID, DDD, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and automated testing.

• Experience working in Agile settings such as Scrum and using Azure DevOps.

• Hands-on mindset with a capacity to engage with technical details.

• Additionally, while not essential, the following would be advantageous:

• Experience with frontend technologies (Angular or similar).

• Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud platforms.

• Background in multi-language programming.

• Experience working in large, collaborative teams.

• A keen interest in innovation, particularly in AI and emerging technologies.
