Lead Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain CI/CD pipelines for client application and infrastructure delivery.

• Write and manage Terraform modules to provision and oversee client Azure infrastructure, with additional support for AWS resources.

• Handle infrastructure as code across various client environments, encompassing state management, module versioning, and drift detection.

• Automate build, testing, and deployment workflows.

• Implement and provide guidance on infrastructure security practices, including secrets management, least-privilege IAM and RBAC, and policy-as-code guardrails.

• Monitor pipeline performance and infrastructure reliability; troubleshoot issues related to build, deployment, and runtime failures.

• Collaborate with client development teams to containerize applications and integrate deployment pipelines with AKS or equivalent.

• Support client developers across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers.

• Document pipeline architecture, infrastructure patterns, and operational runbooks for handoff.

• Mentor client engineers and junior team members on DevOps methodologies and Terraform standards.

• Present technical strategies, infrastructure choices, and delivery status to client stakeholders.

• Maintain strong daily client relationships across various engagements.

• Collaborate with senior engineering leadership to establish reusable DevOps patterns, reference architectures, and Terraform modules.

• Take ownership of several client CI/CD pipelines end to end during the initial six months.

• Minimize manual steps or points of failure in client deployment processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering role.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure, including Azure DevOps, Resource Manager, networking, IAM, and essential compute and storage services.

• Familiarity with core AWS services, such as EC2, IAM, VPC, and S3.

• Proven experience in writing and maintaining Terraform for production infrastructure, covering module design and remote state management.

• Demonstrated capability in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines from the ground up.

• Experience in designing reusable infrastructure and pipeline patterns across multiple clients or environments.

• Proficient scripting skills in at least one of Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration, using Docker and Kubernetes or AKS.

• Working fluency across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers.

• Understanding of the fundamentals of infrastructure and pipeline security, including secrets management and access control.

• Hands-on use of Claude Code in everyday engineering tasks.

• Comfortable collaborating directly with client teams in an agile delivery setting.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Preferred: Azure certification such as AZ-400, AZ-104, or AZ-305.

• Preferred: AWS certification, Solutions Architect Associate or higher.

• Preferred: HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification.

• Preferred: Anthropic/Claude certification.

• Preferred: Experience using policy-as-code tools such as Sentinel, OPA, or Azure Policy.

• Preferred: Experience integrating SAST, dependency scanning, and container scanning into pipelines.

• Preferred: Previous consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
