This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Diagnose and repair utility-scale solar systems, which include inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits.
• Conduct testing procedures such as LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans.
• Lead and oversee a team of 2 or more field technicians at active solar farm sites.
• Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• Carry out operations and maintenance (O&M) on utility-scale solar plants.
• Review completed work to confirm adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Implement safety protocols (OSHA, NFPA 70E) on-site.
• Identify system issues and address them directly in the field.
• Finalize work orders, service logs, and necessary documentation.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and tools.
• Mentor and assist junior technicians in the field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in utility-scale solar (solar farms / ground-mount systems).
• Proven experience in leading teams or serving as the lead technician on-site.
• Familiarity with megawatt-scale PV systems (not residential rooftop solar).
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair capabilities (inverters, DC systems, power electronics).
• Experience in solar O&M / maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of OSHA / NFPA 70E safety regulations.
• Proficiency in using multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and other testing equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
