Lead Software Engineer – SQL, .Net, C#, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead the Financial Reporting team in developing and maintaining essential reports and dashboards for Fortune 500 financial organizations.

• Take ownership of the complete delivery process for Reporting and BI features, from technical design through sprint execution to production.

• Drive architectural decisions to create scalable, high-performance dashboards utilizing Oracle, BI tools, Azure, and .NET/C#.

• Develop proofs of concept, conduct pull request reviews, and contribute code to complex technical tasks.

• Advocate for and mentor AI-first development practices using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar.

• Collaborate with Product to shape the technical roadmap while ensuring long-term architectural integrity.

• Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and growth discussions.

• Implement code quality standards, branch policies, code freeze protocols, and release management procedures.

• Facilitate code reviews and architectural discussions to enhance the technical skills of the team.

• Transform intricate data reporting requirements into clean, maintainable, production-ready software.

• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Customer Success teams to deliver reliable enterprise releases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent demonstrated engineering expertise.

• Over 10 years of practical experience in designing and developing enterprise SaaS backend applications, with a profound understanding of databases.

• More than 2 years of experience in engineering team management, successfully developing senior engineers while retaining top talent.

• Architect/Principal Engineer-level proficiency in relational databases, particularly Oracle PL/SQL.

• Experience with complex query optimization, stored procedures, performance tuning, and handling large-scale data.

• Strong command of SQL and data modeling.

• Experience in Reporting/BI development with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or equivalents.

• Demonstrated practical use of AI developer tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor, with the ability to coach teams for maximum effectiveness.

• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs using .NET/C# within distributed, enterprise-scale systems.

• Solid foundation in Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint discipline, backlog ownership, and rigorous release management.

• High proficiency in Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in the financial domain, particularly in FinTech or equity management, is a considerable advantage.

• Familiarity with Azure Cloud is a plus.
