This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +5 more states.
• Spearhead the architecture, design, and development of Ruby on Rails applications.
• Strategize and manage extensive technical projects that involve multiple engineering teams.
• Coordinate tasks and responsibilities within intricate cross-team projects.
• Propel technical direction, establish coding standards, and promote engineering best practices.
• Guide and nurture junior, intermediate, and senior engineers.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams to provide scalable solutions.
• Recognize technical risks and implement resolution strategies.
• Detect team-specific technical challenges and suggest or execute solutions.
• Assess new technologies and propose solutions that align with business objectives.
• Lead prototyping and research efforts for enhancements to the platform.
• Over 7 years of experience in software development.
• More than 5 years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Proficient in designing and scaling APIs, distributed systems, and web applications.
• Familiarity with MySQL or other relational database systems.
• Experience with Git and contemporary CI/CD practices.
• Exceptional software development, debugging, testing, and analytical capabilities.
• At least 2 years of experience in planning and executing cross-team technical projects.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant sector technologies, engineering processes, and security frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English; interviews will be conducted in English.
• Ability to communicate fluently in Russian or Ukrainian.
• Preferred: experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Preferred: experience in integrating third-party platforms and APIs.
• Preferred: skills in leadership, team-building, and mentoring.
• Preferred: strategic thinking with the ability to assess alternative technical strategies.
• Preferred: strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Preferred: expertise in generative AI tools for software development, code quality, debugging, testing, documentation, and engineering productivity.
• Preferred: experience managing multiple projects across various stages simultaneously.
• Up to $6,000 gross/month.
