This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia, +3 more countries.
β’ Take full ownership of the modernization process from monolith to microservices, overseeing everything from legacy analysis to production release.
β’ Ensure visibility into the status of the pipeline and identify delivery risks.
β’ Collaborate with Product and Architecture teams to evaluate specifications, map out legacy dependencies, and develop realistic estimates.
β’ Provide guidance on architectural decisions involving .NET Core services, SQL/NoSQL databases, and frontend integrations.
β’ Act as the primary technical escalation point for intricate backend, data migration, and production incident challenges.
β’ Enhance daily team processes through effective Jira task tracking, precise estimation, and QA collaboration.
β’ Conduct regular one-on-one meetings focused on career objectives.
β’ Foster feedback and implement process improvements to boost team performance and engagement.
β’ Strong background in .NET engineering with extensive knowledge of C#, .NET 8, and ASP.NET Core.
β’ In-depth comprehension of web application architecture, REST APIs, microservices patterns, and message brokers (such as RabbitMQ).
β’ Experience in database design with PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, and Redis.
β’ Practical knowledge of modernizing legacy systems, refactoring monorepos to microservices, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
β’ Ability to serve as the technical escalation point for complex implementations, data migrations, or performance issues.
β’ Demonstrated experience in managing engineering teams, encompassing one-on-ones, performance evaluations, and objective assessments.
β’ Proven track record in delivery management, including Jira task tracking, maintaining process discipline, and ensuring predictable releases.
β’ Experience in reviewing business specifications, evaluating technical feasibility, and providing high-level estimates.
β’ Experience collaborating with PM and Product teams to align engineering outcomes with product objectives.
