Lead Software Engineer, Mobile - Shopping

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Create Android client code solutions that align with product strategy and adhere to engineering best practices, design guidelines, and principles.

• Collaborate with Software Engineers, UX/UI designers, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners/Analysts to provide exceptional customer experiences.

• Engage in agile ceremonies and assist in fulfilling team commitments promptly and with high quality.

• Champion the mobile platform within both internal and external developer communities.

• Keep up-to-date with mobile technologies, including Kotlin, Swift, and various third-party libraries.

• Influence team discussions and incorporate feedback from the broader group.

• Mentor junior to mid-level team members to enhance their skills.

• Work in conjunction with developers across Android, iOS, APIs, Web, and other areas.

• Take ownership and lead the delivery of significant components and platform requirements alongside senior engineers and architects.

• Share best practices and enhance processes across sprint teams.

• Identify technical challenges and devise innovative solutions with the team.

• Review pull requests to ensure compliance with Kotlin and other language conventions.

• Provide expert-level leadership in your subject area.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience is not considered.

• At least 3 years of experience in developing Android applications.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Kotlin.

• Master’s Degree is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in building Android applications is preferred.

• More than 4 years of experience with Kotlin is preferred.

• At least 4 years of experience in open-source frameworks is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Agile practices is preferred.

• Experience utilizing interactive AI tools beyond basic code completion is preferred.
