This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Provide leadership in the architecture and technical guidance for build and deployment systems that adhere to FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 standards.
• Design, develop, and manage scalable, reliable, and high-performance build systems.
• Convert security and compliance requirements into implementations for access control, audit logging, secret management, vulnerability response, and evidence collection.
• Oversee and ensure the health and accuracy of builds in collaboration with product engineering teams.
• Work alongside Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to guarantee the scalability and availability of build systems.
• Anticipate, prevent, and address issues while coordinating triage and remediation efforts across product teams.
• Contribute to production code, participate in design and code reviews, mentor team members, and drive operational enhancements.
• A Bachelor's Degree coupled with 8 years of experience in development, build, and release engineering or computer science; or a Master's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; or a PhD with 3 years of related experience.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person for work in U.S. Government classified settings.
• May need to be a U.S. citizen residing in the U.S. for specific assignments.
• Proven experience in developing and configuring modular build and deployment systems, as well as source control tools for CI/CD.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Groovy, Ruby, or Python.
• Experience utilizing containers in build environments.
• Familiarity with AWS, Artifactory, Docker, and/or Kubernetes.
• Background in JavaScript/TypeScript and React toolchains and pipelines.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and RSpec pipelines.
• Preferred: experience with FedRAMP Moderate/High, DoD IL4/IL5, FISMA, GovRAMP, or similar regulated environments.
• Preferred: experience in production database maintenance and migrations.
• Preferred: experience with Elastic Stack and Grafana.
• Preferred: experience with automated testing frameworks such as RSpec, Jest, or Cypress.
• Preferred: experience in leading technical projects or guiding technical direction across a team.
