Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the technical vision for enterprise applications, integration platforms, and digital capabilities that support operational and supply chain transformations.

• Align technology investments with business goals and ensure that solutions can scale across various functions and regions.

• Set architectural standards, reference patterns, and engineering best practices for enterprise systems.

• Oversee the design of robust, scalable, and secure platforms.

• Develop integration strategies across critical business processes involving Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders.

• Advocate for API-first, event-driven, and data-centric architectures.

• Assess emerging technologies, SaaS platforms, and integration capabilities.

• Provide guidance on technology selection and investment decisions.

• Establish standards for software quality, reliability, security, observability, and maintainability.

• Promote engineering excellence through scalable development practices, automation, governance frameworks, and ongoing improvement.

• Mentor engineers, encourage architectural alignment, facilitate knowledge sharing, and enhance developer productivity.

• Report directly to the Head of Enterprise Systems Engineering and collaborate with Product, Operations, and Supply Chain leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally within automotive, e-commerce, or manufacturing-adjacent sectors.

• Hands-on expertise with React.js, microservices/serverless architectures, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS.

• Significant experience in delivering supply chain, procurement, or e-commerce systems at OEM or Tier-1 scale.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS services, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native design patterns.

• Experience running systems at production scale with real SLAs.

• Strong understanding of API design, event-driven messaging, and EDI integration patterns.

• Familiarity with CRM and ERP platforms as well as their integration patterns.

• Capability to thrive in fast-paced, resource-limited environments.

• Proficiency in translating technical complexities into business outcomes for non-technical stakeholders.

• Comfortable presenting to executive leadership and board-level audiences.
