Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy features within our benefits administration platform utilizing AI-enhanced development workflows.

• Establish optimal practices for AI-supported development.

• Mentor and elevate the skills of our current engineering team.

• Take ownership of architectural decisions, ensuring systems are maintainable, secure, and scalable.

• Advocate for engineering rigor, including testing, code review, documentation, and observability.

• Assist in ensuring systems comply with HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements.

• Participate in recruitment and the growth of the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• A minimum of 2 years in a leadership or senior position.

• Proven, hands-on proficiency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles: system design, testing strategies, code review, and debugging capabilities.

• Experience in mentoring engineers.

• Strongly Preferred: Background in benefits, payroll, fintech, or HR technology.

• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and SOC 2 audit processes.
