Lead SOC Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop technical solutions for SOC alert orchestration (SOAR).

• Supply the GRC team with automated tools for risk monitoring.

• Lead the integration of EDR, SIEM, and cloud security solutions.

• Assist in conducting technical risk assessments and pinpoint infrastructure vulnerabilities.

• Propose and execute remediation engineering strategies.

• Create and sustain security infrastructure in hybrid on-premises/cloud settings.

• Implement security-by-design principles for new deployments.

• Act as a Tier 3 technical escalation point for intricate security incidents.

• Mentor junior engineers and analysts.

• Enhance SOC detection capabilities and convert regulatory requirements into technical controls and automated evidence gathering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• A decade of progressive experience in IT and Security, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior or lead engineering role.

• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, GIAC (GCIA, GCDA), or Offensive Security (OSCP).

• Comprehensive knowledge of network security, including firewalls, Zero Trust, endpoint protection, and cloud security (AWS/GCP).

• Proficient in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

• Familiarity with SOC/threat hunting technologies, SIEM logic, YARA rules, and EDR configuration.

• GRC fluency with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 frameworks.

• Capability to articulate complex technical vulnerabilities to non-technical risk stakeholders and vice versa.
