Lead SOC Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and execute technical solutions for SOC alert orchestration (SOAR)

• Equip the GRC team with automated tools for risk monitoring

• Lead the integration of EDR, SIEM, and cloud security tools

• Support technical risk assessments and detect infrastructure vulnerabilities

• Suggest and implement remediation engineering

• Develop and sustain security infrastructure in both hybrid on-premises and cloud environments

• Employ security-by-design principles in new deployments

• Act as a Tier 3 technical escalation point for intricate security incidents

• Provide in-depth forensic or architectural expertise during incident responses

• Mentor junior engineers and analysts

• Promote a culture of technical excellence and proactive security

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)

• 10 years of increasing responsibility in IT and Security, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior or lead engineering role

• CISSP, CISM, GIAC (GCIA, GCDA), or Offensive Security (OSCP) certifications are highly preferred

• Strong expertise in network security, encompassing firewalls and Zero Trust

• Experience with endpoint protection solutions

• Familiarity with cloud security, particularly AWS/GCP

• Proficiency in coding/scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash

• Experience in automating repetitive security tasks and integrations

• Background in SOC/threat hunting technologies

• In-depth understanding of SIEM logic, YARA rules, and EDR configuration

• Capability to interpret NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or SOC2 frameworks and implement technical controls

• Ability to communicate technical vulnerabilities to non-technical risk stakeholders and vice versa
