Lead QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee QA initiatives to ensure successful project outcomes

• Develop and refine comprehensive strategies for automation, regression, performance, and release testing

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable test automation frameworks

• Author and evaluate high-quality automated test scripts

• Create and implement automated test suites for API, UI, integration, regression, and performance

• Manage and prioritize the QA backlog effectively

• Act as the escalation point for QA-related issues

• Diagnose complex defects by analyzing logs and system behavior

• Work collaboratively across Engineering, Product Management, QA, and Leadership teams

• Promote best practices in quality engineering

• Mentor and cultivate the skills of QA Engineers

• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and developing a high-performing QA team

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering within B2B SaaS environments

• More than 3 years of experience in test automation (e.g., Katalon, Playwright, Selenium)

• Extensive experience in writing test cases and facilitating automation strategies

• Strong grasp of test methodologies, test case coverage analysis, and effective hardening and exploratory strategies

• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., Jmeter, NeLoad, LoadRunner)

• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Python, SmartBear)

• Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
