This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Take charge of delivering projects on schedule, ensuring accountability for profit and loss, and achieving customer satisfaction by managing project-related activities and resources.
• Assist the Project Director in structuring project costs within Oracle ERP.
• Engage in kickoff meetings with customers, internal teams, and suppliers, providing support to the Project Director in the preparation and coordination of these meetings.
• Create and maintain a project roster that includes the assignment and oversight of timely completion of project-related training activities.
• Aid in the development and issuance of the Project Management Plan along with associated project plans and procedures; advocate for the implementation of these plans across the broader project team.
• Assist in the development and implementation of project infrastructure and tools.
• Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. government regulations.
• Facilitate coordination of project activities while monitoring and controlling the progress of project deliverables.
• Guarantee that project deliverables conform to contract and project requirements.
• Organize and archive project correspondence and records in accordance with the Project Configuration Management Plan.
• Lead the drafting and distribution of project management meeting notes, action item lists, and progress reports.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and at least 2 years of experience managing projects (nuclear projects preferred, but experience in any energy or large-scale projects is acceptable).
• Willingness to travel 25% domestically and internationally.
• Proven organizational skills, especially in relation to project execution.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a STEM field.
• Basic financial or accounting knowledge.
• Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs.
• Understanding of the power industry, customer dynamics, and competitive landscape.
• Proven track record in supporting project budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Knowledge and understanding of financial control.
• Strong professional interpersonal and leadership skills, demonstrating high motivation, integrity, and self-confidence.
• Capacity to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to influence others effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail, proactive follow-up, and strong organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage workload under tight deadlines and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated capacity to analyze and resolve issues efficiently.
• Strong process-oriented approach to work.
• High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Six Sigma Training (BB, DFSS, etc.) is required for GE Employees only.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.).
