
Lead Program Engineer, Subsea

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
• Direct the design, development, and integration of all subsea components throughout the program lifecycle.
• Take ownership of the technical performance and delivery of subsea systems, ensuring they align with program requirements and timelines.
• Act as the primary expert on subsea architecture, interfaces, and system integration.
• Facilitate design reviews, conduct trade studies, develop and mitigate risks, and guide technical decision-making processes for subsea systems.
• Supervise multiple subcontractors involved in the subsea aspects of the program, ensuring system interoperability.
• Assist in planning and executing the subsea segments of offshore testing campaigns, including deployment, recovery, and in-water operations.
• Collaborate across the program with other leads, the Program Manager, and the customer to ensure comprehensive program success.
• Mentor junior employees by assigning tasks, establishing priorities, and ensuring accountability within a productive and high-performance environment.
• Travel as necessary (approximately 0-25% of the time) to meet customer needs and participate in team meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• More than 8 years of total experience.
• Proven experience with ROVs, subsea tooling, undersea communications, and/or sensor integration.
• Strong technical focus and the capability to support team leadership while fostering collaborative relationships with government customers, technical staff, senior management, and peers.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, accompanied by strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Contribute to the successful acquisition of competitive US DoD contracts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with exceptional written and oral communication capabilities.
