This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Become proficient in a range of Amplify programs: Develop and sustain expertise on the core concepts of an Amplify Literacy or STEM program along with its associated professional development offerings.
• Engage in paid training to achieve certification as a Professional Learning Specialist (if not already certified).
• Exemplify excellence in delivering professional learning: Conduct a minimum of two days per week of remote and onsite training sessions for approximately 30-40 educators throughout the year.
• Comprehend the unique contexts of customers and provide professional development that aligns with their specific needs.
• Communicate observations regarding customers’ interactions with our products, highlighting key strengths and challenges, to product teams.
• Participate in internal professional development, which includes observation, feedback, and coaching, to continuously enhance your facilitation skills.
• Monitor and fulfill deliverables related to session logistics promptly.
• Assist in the effective recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new PLS throughout the year.
• Mentor a cohort of approximately 20-40 PLS utilizing best practices (e.g., observation and debrief, modeling, peer practices, written and live feedback).
• Regularly review post-session survey data for a cohort of PLS (e.g., daily during May - September) to identify trends in customer feedback and provide meaningful coaching that fosters growth in PLS knowledge, skills, and mindsets, as well as strong educator experiences and outcomes.
• Develop and execute targeted learning plans based on observations, post-session survey data, customer feedback, and reflective discussions.
• Maintain and relay key information to relevant stakeholders regarding individual PLS or the cohort’s needs, goals, and challenges.
• Assist the Professional Development team with special projects.
• Convey customer and PLS feedback to key internal and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance our programs and PD offerings.
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2+ years of teaching experience in Pre-K to Grade 12.
• At least 2+ years of experience in coaching educators in Pre-K to Grade 12.
• Established understanding of adult learning principles and experience applying them in delivering learning experiences to adults.
• Strong knowledge of best practices for implementing high-quality instruction in math, science, or literacy to ensure students meet and exceed rigorous grade level standards in English.
• Proven ability to facilitate onsite and remote professional development for teachers and/or leaders.
• Excellent skills and comfort with technology-based productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, Google applications, and video conferencing platforms (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• High adaptability in navigating ambiguity and addressing in-the-moment challenges or concerns to fulfill customer needs.
