This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Take ownership of the Trust & Safety product strategy and roadmap by translating business risks and user insights into a well-defined, prioritized plan.
• Transition the function from a reactive incident response to a proactive, intelligence-driven fraud prevention approach: develop the Risk Engine, data signals intelligence, anomaly detection, and investigation tools that enable this transition.
• Deliver AI-native Trust & Safety product experiences: collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to design, prototype, and implement real-time detection and decision-making systems utilizing ML models, LLMs, and behavioral signals.
• Balance fraud prevention with growth protection—ensuring that Trust & Safety interventions do not create unnecessary friction for legitimate users or hinder marketplace supply and demand. Make informed, evidence-based trade-off decisions.
• Define and monitor appropriate Trust & Safety success metrics: fraud loss rates, false positive/negative rates, time-to-resolution, user trust scores, and financial exposure. Clearly communicate the impact in business terms to senior leadership.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering leads, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, and Operations—sharing accountability for outcomes and managing competing priorities.
• Establish long-term instrumentation, monitoring, and evaluation capabilities to assess fraud rates, detection model performance, and contributor/user impact at scale.
• Develop business cases that quantify fraud losses and the ROI of prevention investments; secure resources and drive prioritization based on data insights.
• Ensure that products and strategies comply with local and regional legal, compliance, and security requirements across all markets.
• Utilize AI in your operations as a Product Manager: expedite threat analysis, conduct synthetic user research on abuse patterns, craft AI-assisted specifications, and automate experimentation pipelines—whatever enhances velocity.
• Represent Trust & Safety at the leadership level by clearly presenting strategy, risk posture, and results to executive audiences.
• Extensive product management experience in the digital sector: consumer-facing platforms, marketplaces, mobility, e-commerce, classifieds, fintech, or similar high-scale environments.
• Proven experience managing trust-related products or problem areas such as Trust & Safety, Fraud Prevention, Risk, Identity & Verification, Marketplace Integrity, Account Security, Abuse Prevention, Payments Risk, or Compliance Technology.
• Demonstrated history of creating scalable systems that proactively detect, prevent, and mitigate abuse, fraud, risk, or other trust-related issues, rather than depending solely on manual or operational processes.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience in defining success metrics, assessing impact, and making prioritization decisions based on evidence and measurable outcomes.
• Proven ability to work closely with Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams to deliver complex products in regulated or high-risk environments, including vendor management and collaboration.
• Experience in building, deploying, or closely working with machine learning, AI, risk scoring, decision-making, detection, recommendation, or automation systems. Hands-on experience with AI-powered trust or fraud products is advantageous.
• Proven capability to balance user experience, marketplace growth, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation, making thoughtful trade-offs that safeguard both users and the business.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, taking ownership of complex problem areas, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving strategy and execution across multiple teams.
• Strong core product management skills that are applicable across fraud domains—you can quickly adapt to unfamiliar threat vectors and deliver results. Domain specificity is important; rigid domain lock-in is not.
• Well-versed in constructing and iterating core Data (Science) products at scale.
• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at OLX.
• Commitment to achieving outcomes.
• Collaboration among 50+ nationalities and 7 markets.
• Customer-led approach.
• A culture that is ambitious, fast-paced, and built on trust.
