This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the vision and strategy for SeatGeek’s native iOS and Android applications — from initial launch to post-event — crafting a seamless experience that secures a permanent spot on fans’ home screens.

• Develop and implement a roadmap that encourages repeat engagement: strategies for push notifications, personalized content displays, re-engagement workflows, loyalty mechanisms, and native platform features such as Live Activities, widgets, and app clips.

• Collaborate with engineering, design, and data science teams to execute a blend of rapid iterative tests and larger strategic initiatives aimed at increasing monthly active users (MAU), session frequency, and overall retention.

• Leverage behavioral data, user research, and insights from mobile platforms to pinpoint engagement gaps and design experiences that foster habitual, high-frequency usage.

• Work alongside marketing and CRM teams to ensure that in-app experiences align with owned-channel campaigns, guaranteeing that push notifications, emails, and in-app interactions function as a unified system rather than isolated efforts.

• Collaborate with marketing and UX teams to manage SeatGeek's presence in the App Store and Google Play — focusing on store listing optimization, ASO keyword strategy, creative assets for screenshots and previews, and managing ratings and reviews — treating discoverability as a pivotal growth driver alongside paid and owned channels.

• Partner with analytics and engineering teams to monitor release cadence and app performance: track crash-free session rates and performance regressions, coordinate go/no-go decisions, and apply feature flag and rollback protocols when necessary.

• Stay informed about advancements in mobile platform capabilities — including iOS and Android features, HIG and Material Design guidelines, as well as how AI and on-device intelligence can enhance timely, personalized fan experiences.

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across marketing, partnerships, and operations — advocating for native experiences that enhance engagement over time.

• Advocate for the native mobile fan experience throughout the organization: share insights, celebrate successes, and connect native mobile strategy to broader business objectives.

• Mentor junior product team members and contribute to the development of our product team culture and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of product management experience with a proven track record of launching native mobile products (iOS and/or Android) at scale.

• Extensive knowledge in engagement and retention — you have created habit-forming loops, push notification strategies, personalization systems, or lifecycle features that significantly improved retention and frequency metrics.

• Proficiency in iOS and Android platform capabilities and guidelines — you are well-versed in HIG and Material Design to effectively collaborate with designers, understand constraints and opportunities related to push notifications, widgets, on-device machine learning, and have a strong perspective on how platform conventions should influence the SeatGeek experience.

• Hands-on experience with product analytics and attribution tools (such as Amplitude, Firebase, Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, or similar) — you create your own dashboards and proactively seek answers to basic retention or funnel inquiries without waiting for the data team.

• Familiarity with the operational aspects of mobile shipping — including release management, feature flags, crash monitoring, and the discernment needed to execute a rollback when necessary.

• Strong customer empathy and a discerning eye for excellent design and user experience — you can distinguish between a feature that delights and one that merely exists.

• Strong analytical skills: comfortable defining success metrics, analyzing data, partnering with analysts to conduct cohort analyses, and making decisions based on evidence rather than assumptions.

• Experience with both iterative, experiment-driven approaches and zero-to-one initiatives that have demonstrated measurable business and customer impact.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, with proficiency in modern prototyping tools like Claude, Figma Make, Loveable, or similar to effectively convey ideas to cross-functional partners.

• Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams towards ambitious goals with a sense of urgency and clarity.

• Ideally, experience in marketplace or ticketing products, or consumer applications within entertainment, sports, or travel, where emotional purchase decisions and infrequent usage present core challenges.

• Ideally, familiarity with products that utilize machine learning or AI-driven personalization to present the right content or recommendations at the appropriate moment.

• At least 5 years of experience as an engineer, focusing on coding.

• A foundation of technical excellence that your team can look up to.

• Knowledge of the technology industry to assist your team in making informed decisions about tools and frameworks that foster success.

• You understand how to lead by establishing context and facilitating collaboration among cross-functional partners in product, design, engineering, and leadership.

• Experience in product-minded engineering, especially with products that encompass native mobile, web, and backend systems.

• Experience in both consumer and enterprise products, as this role uniquely oversees fan experiences and rightsholder interactions.

• Experience in the sports technology industry is preferred, although not mandatory.

• This position requires candidates to be located on the East Coast, with a preference for those in the New York City area.
