Lead Product Manager – Bank Connectivity Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of cross-border, regional, and domestic payment rail integrations utilizing API, SWIFT, and host-to-host connectivity.

• Convert banking specifications and business requirements into comprehensive product requirements, engineering stories, and execution plans.

• Lead integration testing, certification processes, and production launch activities with banking partners.

• Manage the post-implementation phase to guarantee reliability, scalability, and operational stability.

• Establish and track integration KPIs, such as system reliability, reconciliation accuracy, SLA compliance, and operational efficiency.

• Create reusable integration frameworks and patterns to expedite future bank onboarding efforts.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams during solution design, sprint planning, development, and release management.

• Ensure that integrations adhere to resilience, observability, security, and operational readiness standards.

• Oversee the full payment lifecycle, including acknowledgements, status updates, returns, reconciliation, and exception handling.

• Design and validate operational workflows and manage edge-case scenarios across distributed payment systems.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a small team of Product Managers.

• Offer coaching, prioritization advice, and support for career development.

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Treasury, and Banking Partnerships teams.

• Influence strategic decisions through data-driven insights and product expertise.

• Facilitate alignment among global teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

• 8+ years of experience in Product Management, particularly in payments, banking, fintech, or financial services.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering bank integrations using SWIFT, APIs, host-to-host connectivity, or payment network integrations.

• Strong grasp of payment processing lifecycles, reconciliation, settlement, and operational workflows.

• Experience managing intricate cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and external partners.

• Proven track record in leading and mentoring Product Managers.

• In-depth knowledge of global payment rails, cross-border payments, and banking ecosystems.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

• Knowledge of payment messaging standards such as SWIFT MT/MX and ISO 20022.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Ability to function effectively within a global, matrixed organization.
