
Lead Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Take ownership of the product: Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the application, ensuring alignment with actual customer behavior and our current audience.
• Lead the “see it in your room” feature (Pillar 1): Oversee the AI/computer-vision visualization, achieving world-class color accuracy and realistic lighting. This feature is central to the product, based on the principle of “buy samples first, use the app to confirm you got it right.”
• Enhance sample sales (Pillar 1): Leverage the app to boost core Samplize sample sales in both directions — “samples → app” and “app → samples” — collaborating with the GM and Material Bank leadership across the site, marketing, the App Store, and Google Play.
• Create actionable pathways (Pillar 2): Manage the cost-estimate engine and assist users in taking action on their selected colors — whether finding a painter or purchasing the paint.
• Transform research into product: Utilize customer insights and data to create a validated and unique user experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in product management, including launching a 0-to-1 consumer mobile app that has gained traction with users.
• A proactive, hands-on individual who independently drives results — adept at developing products without a large organization or fully detailed requirements.
• Proven experience managing technically challenging products alongside machine learning, computer-vision, or augmented reality engineering teams — able to fluently assess feasibility and trade-offs.
• Strong design sensibility; you are passionate about aesthetics and user experience.
• Data-driven mindset — comfortable with defining metrics, pricing strategies, and performance tracking.
• Located in (or willing to relocate to) New York, NY.
• Bonus: Experience with AR, camera, or try-before-you-buy products; knowledge of home and interiors; or e-commerce/DTC commerce.
